Inspiring Canadians to be the Healthiest Nation by 2030

This Years Campaign

We know many people have found it challenging to keep active with the unpredictable nature of the pandemic and its impact on our mental health however physical activity can be a powerful tool for Canadians as we cope with COVID fatigue.

Dr. Roger S. McIntyre, Professor of Psychiatry and Pharmacology at the University of Toronto has been advising the NHFD planning group. “I’m super excited about National Health and Fitness Day. Research at my lab indicates that fitness gives us a sense of personal agency over our lives leaving people with a greater sense of wellbeing, clear thinking and robust motivation and energy which is very important as this pandemic drags on.”

So this year, we focus on just simple movement… a little bit… or a little bit more.
